Oscar Garrison laid out his plat for the Wayzata in 1884. Pioneers in the early years of this village engaged in lumbering, farming, ginseng harvesting, railroading, and hotel building. With both shop keepers and Minneapolis tycoons residing here over the years a variety of home styles and price ranges have contributed to the diverse charm of this small town. The homes shown here have survived through all these years of Wayzata’s growth and are still functioning as homes and businesses.
