949 Wayzata Blvd E, Wayzata, Minnesota
Did you know the Wayzata Legion is celebrating 100 years of serving the Wayzata and Lake Minnetonka communities this year?
Join us Monday, April 1, 2019, as we present the history of the American Legion, as well as much more information, that is “Legion” related. Along with the Legion comes much more of our history: Decoration Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, the Legion poppy, and more.
The Wayzata American Legion Post 118 is named after Ernest Aselton, a Wayzata resident that joined the U. S. Marine Corps and was killed in action in France near the end of World War I.
Throughout its history, the Legion has been a community gathering place. Known in the past for dances, picnics, and parties the Legion is still active in our community today hosting class reunions as well as donations to many organizations: Boy Scouts of America, D.A.R.E., Toys for Tots, Gillette Children’s Foundation and many more.
To help us honor the Legion, their legendary “ribmaster” Scott, will be preparing and serving a BBQ rib buffet dinner from 6-7:00 p.m. $15.00 per person. Please call the Legion for dinner reservations 952-473-7678.
Join us for dinner and a fun and informational evening. Let’s fill the Legion hall to capacity!
