Wayzata Community Room
600 Rice Street, Wayzata, Minnesota 55391
The summer program for Wayzata Historical Society will be on Thursday, July 11 starting at 7:00 p.m. It will be in Wayzata’s Community Room in City Hall. The history of eight buildings will be shared that will be gone between fall of 2018 and fall of 2019, most of them located along Lake Street. The buildings that will be highlighted are: Meyer Bros. Dairy, Berry Jeep Auto, the “old” drugstore, Wayzata State Bank, Pettitt & Kysor, Goldmine Antiques, Odd Fellows, and the Rosekrans house. Buildings built in the early 1900s were often labeled according to their original owners or businesses. Join us on July 11 to learn about these people and what contributions their businesses made to Wayzata throughout its history.
